Sarteano, with its beautiful castle, is six kilometres off the Chiusi-Chianciano Terme motorway exit, approximately half-way between Rome and Florence. This is a land of good living and good food, where life runs at a slow pace as is typical of medieval villages, and is dedicated to relaxation. Thermal spas and wellness centre are at a stone’s throw as Bagno Vignoni, San Casciano dei Bagni and the Chianciano Terme Sensory Baths are only a few kilometres away. The historical centres of Montepulciano, Pienza, Cetona and Radicofani are just over a fifteen minutes’ drive. We are also at the edge of Tuscany, from where we can reach Latium or Umbria, and discover Civita di Bagnoregio (the city that dies), or Orvieto , while Assisi and Perugia are only at an hour's drive.
Siena and Florence are also just over an hour away or, if don't want to drive that far, you may just reach the small locality of Castiglioncello del Trinoro and enjoy a relaxing walk and the unforgettable sunset on the Orcia Valley.
